)Always Wanted War is a threepiece from Cuxhaven / Germany. The Band started as a duo in 2005 and become a full entity in 2007. They pretty much sound like 3 Punk-Metalheads who also like to listen to a variety of other genres. They released a lot of stuff, including some split-releases, a floppydisk, several EPs and two fulllength albums. Always Wanted War play a mix of Hardcore/Screamo that carries a special kind of humor.
Vocally the singers are screaming their guts out in the same style as done on typical nineties Screamo albums but the rest of the musicis slightly different. Imagine a mixture of Hot Water Music and Modern Life is War with more speed.
What we get is the hysteric ambience of the emotional side of nineties screamo combined with the dragging grooves of the bands mentioned above. There is also a special tension fastened in these Punkrock/ Hardcore guitarriffs, that carry the mid-tempo songs.
