This is the most post-rockish 90s emo, that you can get at the moment. Great melodies and an absolute unique songwriting.
The Catalyst are a hardcore/grunge/psychedelic four-piece from Richmond, VA. They re contributing two songs to this split record. It begins with a lot of distortion and then a whole lot of screaming. They scream and occasionally half-sing, half-yell and it works well. Chugging guitar riffs and innocuouses bass lines an pounding drums. Their songs are loud and pissed.
