COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE announce their impressive return with a new album! CHRIS BURDA and MARTIN GRIMM show again their diversity and release a work full of passion and great melodies. After "The Fallen Ones" (2017), the duo released another vinyl box set with rare and unreleased songs last year (2019). At the same time, this was their 10th anniversary to the band's existence. The Hamburg band has firmly established itself in the post-rock scene in recent years and has become one of the most renowned bands of this genre internationally. With their seven albums and a number of EPs to date, they have developed their own electronic-influenced post-rock sound. COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE combine post-rock and synthwave in their own way, bringing together fans of electronic sounds as well as fans of heavier sounds. In terms of content, the band sets to music a gloomy world that is out of control. Focal points on all ends, first and foremost the Coronavirus, environmental destruction, the greed of mankind, injustice, exploitation, poverty, war and resistance. The 8 tracks show this development in gloomy soundscapes, apocalyptic guitars and epic synth sounds that make the songs degenerate into veritable mountains of sound.
