Founded by Logan Rivera in Palm Bay, Florida in 2005, GILLIAN CARTER is already active sind 13 years now. Since the release of their demos in 2006, the band has been a great hope to fill the gap left by old screaming characters like SAETIA etc. GILLIAN CARTER have been assigned to the New Wave Of Screamo. This classification fits in any case, but still needs to be extended to the term of post-hardcore. The band can already look back on an incredible number of releases. They also did not let themselves get bogged down by various line-up changes and so four albums, seven EPs / Splits and various sampler contributions are already in their vita. The trio have always remained faithful to their style. Wild-chaotic songwriting paired with emotional lyrics - always punchy but also dynamic. Two years after the last album „Dreams Of Suffocation“ (2016) the new album „This Earth Shaped Tomb“ finally comes out. GILLIAN CARTER create with the 15 new songs again an impressively powerful and closed atmosphere. Fans of LOMA PRIETA, SAETIA or PORTRAYAL OF GUILT will find more than an equivalent here.
