MILANKU - Monument du Non-Etre / Mouvement du Non-Vivant LP

Three years after their awesome album „De Fragments“, Milanku from Canada finally release their new / fourth album. Inspired by the novels and thoughts of the Czech-French author Milan Kundera, four friends founded the band MILANKU in Montreal / Canada in 2007. Meanwhile grown to a quintet, Carl Ruest, Guillaume Chamberland, François Lemieux, Guillaume Boudreau-Monty and Jean-Francois Bourbonnais release after „Convalescence“ (2008), „Pris à la Gorge“ (2012) and „De Fragments“ (2015) their meanwhile fourth album. „Monument Du Non - Être & Mouvement Du Non - Vivant“ concentrats on the strengths for which MILANKU was already known on their previous albums. Upbuilding, highly melodic Postrock, which also uses postmetal and screamo elements. Similarly, as with genre legends, the songs tend to build quietly and develop their own, highly exciting atmosphere. If you miss the vocals with classical post-rock bands, you will get their money‘s worth here. Often the vocals support the breaks in the instrumental music and give it more intensity and emotionality. The five songs combine perfectly with a complete work.
