Formed in Moscow in 2007, Reka has been a cornerstone of the European underground post-metal scene for over 15 years. With a solid lineup, the band released three albums by 2012, touring extensively throughout Eastern and Central Europe. Their impressive live performances and consistent critical acclaim cemented their reputation. Remarkably, Reka managed to evolve their sound with each album, integrating new ideas and perspectives, a process also influenced by several lineup changes.
However, after their initial trilogy of albums, things quieted down. The band faced increasing pressure in Russia due to their critical stance on prevailing politics, leading some members to relocate. Their last album, "Jupiter" (2019), came out amidst these challenges, and it took nearly five years for them to release new material.

Now, with "Decadence," Reka returns with a one-tracker,hat is spanning over 20 minutes. The band remains true to their signature sound—post-metal that builds slowly and expertly, oscillating between heavy, downtuned sections and atmospheric, melodic passages. Adding a unique touch to "Decadence" are the voices of Yukiko Watanabe and Ryo Amamiya from the Japanese project Presence Of Soul, enhancing the track's depth and texture.

In "Decadence," Reka reaffirms their position in the post-metal genre, delivering a powerful and immersive listening experience that showcases their ability to blend intensity with melody seamlessly. This long-awaited release is a testament to their resilience and creative prowess.
