Solemn League still play fulminant punk rock with a substantial dose of 90s US indie. Different Lives is their first full-length record and most melodic and catchy work to date with hooks from Chapel Hill and Gainesville and a bass guitar that that would not sound out of place in Mission Of Burma either. Heartfelt full of all those small as well as huge riffs and so delightfully devoid of any half-assed irony and desperate pretence it may be hard to believe that these four guys are actually from Berlin and Hamburg Germany. A splendid album indeed. (T. Chittka)
